Like shopping for baby clothes, deciding what to
get in the ‘cute’ collection can be a lot of fun.We
make more pieces of 1/2" than any other width,
which makes sense considering how popular
smaller pets have become.
Cats, most puppies, and small breed adult dogs
can all find what they need in this selection. The
webbing is lightweight, yet very strong, and the
hardware is scaled appropriately.
The Adjustable collar for small dogs features a
slightly oversized and easy-to-operate clasp. Our
custom buckles are designed to be the strongest
in the industry. Matching leads are available.
The Safety collar for cats, sold on a card to help
identify it as a cat item, has a breakaway buckle.
These collars should never be used with a lead!
We offer two types of harness in 1/2": H-style,
which works best for cats, and Roman, which is
best for small dogs.

About Harnesses for Dogs & Cats
Harnesses are becoming more popular, especially with small dogs and cats. Using our Roman,
or Adjustable, harness removes pressure from the trachea, a relatively fragile area. A harness
can also be helpful for dogs and cats prone to neck and back problems, like Dachshunds and Corgis.
Harnesses are sized by the adjustability of the girth. To determine the size, measure snugly
around the ribcage, just behind the front legs. Then add in about 5% extra for comfort.
To put the harness on, unbuckle the girth. Place the dog’s head through the opening
formed by the shoulder straps.
Pick up the left front leg, and place it over the
sternum strap. Adjust and buckle the girth. Adjust the shoulders.
When properly fitted, the girth should sit close to front legs, not back towards the
hips. A harness that’s too long will put pressure on the dog’s belly– not comfy! By
evenly adjusting the shoulders to a shorter length, the front-to-back length of the
harness can be reduced. The harness should only be worn when the dog is
actively engaged in a walk. A harnesses is very accessible to teeth and can be
destroyed in moments! Lupine® products are not recommended for tie-out.
